Dr. Satterfield is a Board-Certified Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon in the San Diego area. Dr. Satterfield received her doctorate from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. There she received numerous honors and awards including receiving the Merck Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence, awarded to the top medical students per graduating class.
Dr. Satterfield completed her Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Washington and is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. After completing residency, Dr. Satterfield underwent 2 years of additional training in a highly competitive Aesthetic Cosmetic Surgery fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery sponsored by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Seattle. Dr Satterfield is one of only about 650 subspecialty trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeons in the country.
She has expertise in facial cosmetics and rejuvenation, eyelid malposition, blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, eyelid skin cancers, MOHS reconstruction, facial trauma, as well as ocular tearing. Dr. Satterfield has published several articles and book chapters, presented at national and international meetings, and is up to date on all cutting-edge aesthetic technologies and surgical techniques.
